For the Newbs’, weekend free camping has come with many learnings while preparing for their lap of Oz. Getting an insight of their power usage has given them a clear understanding of the short falls in their existing batteries and solar power setup.  The Newbs’ family came to Outech knowing the frustrations and inconvenience of constantly micromanaging their caravan power and worrying about flat batteries. They wanted enough power to run their 240-volt appliances, especially their air conditioner, microwave, and coffee machine while free camping!

As a result, Outech Offgrid designed and installed a 12 volt and 240 volt caravan power system to meet the Newbs’ power usage based on the family’s power used and individual needs. The upgrade power system will run the Newbs’ home appliances when staying at caravan parks and when camping for off grid for extended periods.

To stay at these more remote campgrounds your caravan will need to have off grid power such as solar panels and adequate 12 volt batteries.  Note, less and less camp grounds allow the use of generators.
